FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – More than 150 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Thursday.

This week is NCAA Division III Week and member institutions across the country are celebrating the fourth-year event. Division III Week, which runs from Monday through Sunday, is intended to recognize the academic and athletic accomplishments as well as the campus leadership and community service efforts of Division III student-athletes. As part of Huntingdon College’s participation in Division III Week, six student-athletes will be featured this week. Huntingdon senior Pat Pickens is today's featured athlete.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon senior Pat Pickens was named second-team All-South Region with the release of the D3hoops.com All-Region teams this week. This is the 14th season D3hoops has named All-Region teams and the first time a Lady Hawk has been recognized.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Huntingdon senior Pat Pickens was recognized by the USA South with the release of the women's basketball All-Conference team on Tuesday. The Lady Hawks' career-scoring leader was named first-team All-Conference. Pickens received conference recognition during each of her four seasons. She was named to the Great South Athletic Conference All-Freshman team in 2012 and was a GSAC All-Conference pick as a sophomore in 2013. As a junior, during Huntingdon's first season in the USA South, she was named second-team All-Conference.

Munford sets new career rebound record for Lady Hawks

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team closed out its season with a 73-50 loss to 17th-ranked Maryville on Saturday. The game marked the close of record-setting careers for seniors Pat Pickens and Tan Munford. The two Anniston natives left their marks on the Huntingdon women's basketball program during the past four seasons.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team started slow on Wednesday but took control in the second half and knocked off Covenant 80-68.

DEMOREST, Ga. – Huntingdon senior Pat Pickens stepped to the free-throw line a little less than eight minutes into Sunday's women's basketball game at Piedmont. Needing two points to make Huntingdon history, the Anniston native calmly sank her first free throw. With her second free throw, Pickens became the Lady Hawks' career scoring leader. Her eighth point of the game, the second free throw gave Pickens 1,415 career points. Former Lady Hawk and Huntingdon Hall of Famer Tiffany Jordan held the previous record of 1,414 points. Pickens finished with 30 points in the 79-77 loss to Piedmont and now has 1,437 career points. She also had nine rebounds against the Lions.

Jello Weatherspoon finished with nine points and three assists in Wednesday's 61-59 win over LaGrange.
