Paige Huff returned to her alma mater as an assistant women’s basketball coach in 2012 and was named interim head women’s basketball coach in 2018.

During Huff’s six seasons as an assistant coach, the Lady Hawks won 93 games and reached the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament for the first two times in program history. Huff helped produce the program’s first two All-Region performers, five All-Conference selections and 55 Academic All-Conference selections.

In her first season in 2012-13, the Lady Hawks set what was then the program record for wins in a season and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time. Huntingdon was 19-10 and defeated 24th-ranked Ferrum 84-67 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament before losing to 16th-ranked Emory in the second round.

The Lady Hawks were 15-10 during the 2013-14 season, their first season as a member of the USA South. In 2014-15, Huntingdon was 13-12 and produced its first All-Region performer as Pat Pickens was named second-team All-South Region. The Lady Hawks were 10-12 in 2015-16.

The 2016-17 team set the program’s NCAA-era record for wins (20-7), reached the USA South Tournament for the first time and advanced to the conference quarterfinals. The 2017-18 team posted a 16-10 record and advanced to the conference tournament for a second straight season as Juliette Harp earned second-team All-Region honors.

Before joining the Huntingdon staff, Huff spent four seasons coaching at the high school level. During the 2011-12 season she led the Wilcox Academy girls basketball team to a state runner-up finish. She also served as the head volleyball and softball coach at Wilcox Academy and led the softball team to the state tournament in her one season at the school.

Before Wilcox, Huff spent three seasons at Edgewood Academy as the head girls basketball coach and assistant volleyball and softball coach.

A 2008 Huntingdon graduate, Huff earned her B.S. in coaching education. She earned her M.S. in physical education from Alabama State University.

A two-year player for the Lady Hawks, Huff was a team captain and a Great South Athletic Conference All-Academic selection. During her senior season, she helped Huntingdon put together a 15-win season.

Before transferring to Huntingdon, Huff spent two seasons at Faulkner State, where she was a captain and helped her team win a conference title.

A graduate of Foley High School, Huff played basketball and softball for the Lions and was inducted into the Foley Hall of Fame in 2016.

She is the daughter of the late Jack Huff and Dorothy McGreevy and has one brother, Jesse Huff.
