Huntingdon bounces back for first win of the season

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon football team took control early and controlled all four quarters on Saturday to earn its first win of the season. The Hawks scored four touchdowns in the first half and pulled away for a 52-17 win over Brevard College. The Hawks built a 45-10 lead on the first play of the fourth quarter before the backups closed out the game.

Hawks come up short against Thomas More

MONTGOMERY, Ala.  – The Huntingdon football team rallied from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter and took a late lead, but Thomas More College scored in the final minute to beat the Hawks 38-35 on Saturday.

Thomas named USA South Athlete of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Huntingdon’s Eric Thomas was selected as one of the USA South Athletic Conference’s Athletes of the Week on Monday. The sophomore running back was named the Offensive Player of the Week for football.

Football’s season opener ends as a “no contest” due to weather

GREENSBORO, N.C.  – The Huntingdon football team’s season opener at Guilford College on Saturday was declared a “no contest” due to extended weather delays and will not be counted as an official game. With Huntingdon leading 58-48 with 13 minutes to play in the game, the game was suspended due to lightning. After close to a three-hour delay and no sign of the weather improving, the decision was made to declare the game a “no contest”.
