Townsend Selected As CCS Player Of The Week

ATLANTA, Ga.- After leading the Hawks to a 1-1 record this past week, senior guard Marcus Townsend has been recognized as the Collegiate Conference of the South Men's Basketball Player of the Week. 

Townsend put together a strong two-game stretch at the Welch Classic, helping the Hawks to a 1–1 showing on the week. Townsend opened the event with 15 points and seven rebounds against Welch, then followed with the first double-double of his career in a 91–63 win over Boyce, finishing with 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

Townsend and the Hawks kick off the LaQuinta Inn and Suites Tournament hosted by LaGrange College on Wednesday, December 17th, taking on Methodist University. Tip-off is set for 12:00 PM CT.
