Fugate Chosen As SLIAC Women's Wrestler Of The Week

ST LOUIS, Mo.- Following her performance that resulted in an individual championship at the Yellow Jacket Open, Huntingdon's Shelby Fugate has been slated as the SLIAC Women's Wrestler of the Week. 

The Fort Mitchell, Alabama native finished the tournament hosted by Allen University with a perfect 2-0 record. After earning a bye in the quarterfinal match, she went on to win the semi-final by fall(57 seconds), and the tournament championship by tech fall(10-0). This is the former national qualifier's first victory of this season.

Fugate and the Hawks return to action on Thursday, December 11th as they host Andrew College in a dual for Senior Day. Matches are set to begin at 5:00 PM CT.
