LAGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon volleyball team earned its 10th conference win of the season with a 25-20, 28-26, 19-25, 25-22 win at LaGrange College on Tuesday night.
This is the second time Huntingdon has reached 10 conference wins since joining the USA South Athletic Conference in 2013. The Hawks were 11-3 in the USA South last season. With two conference matches remaining this season, Huntingdon has a 10-2 record in the USA South.
Junior Amy Tyma powered the Hawks with a career-high 25 kills against LaGrange. Tyma, April Reese (12), Addison Genard (9) and Shelby McAllister (7) combined for 53 of the Hawks' 61 kills. Ashley Murphy (28) and Morgan Ilsley (23) combined for 51 assists and Reese (10), Tyma (9), Ilsley (9) and Lexie DeVuyst (8) combined for 36 digs.

Seven straight: Tuesday's win was the seventh straight for Huntingdon, marking the second longest winning streak of the season and the third time the Hawks have won seven in-a-row since at least 2006. Huntingdon put together an eight-match winning streak earlier this season.
USA South standings: With two conference matches remaining, Huntingdon is second in the West Division of the USA South with a 10-2 record. Maryville leads the West with a 12-0 conference record and LaGrange and Covenant are tied for third at 7-5 in the conference.
