  • 139 Hawks earn USA South Academic All-Conference honors

    FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – More than 130 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Monday. A total of 139 Hawks, representing each of Huntingdon's 18 athletic programs, were among the 1,446 USA South student-athletes named to the team.

    This week is NCAA Division III Week and member institutions across the country are celebrating the seventh-year event. Division III Week, which runs from Monday through Sunday, is intended to recognize the academic and athletic accomplishments as well as the campus leadership and community service efforts of Division III student-athletes. As part of Huntingdon College's participation in Division III Week, five student-athletes will be featured this week. Huntingdon senior Bria Rochelle is today's featured student-athlete.
  • Tyma and Rochelle earn West Division honors from USA South

    FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Two Huntingdon volleyball players were recognized with the release of the USA South All-Conference awards on Thursday. Freshman Amy Tyma was named first-team West Division and senior Bria Rochelle was named second-team West Division. Rochelle was also named to the All-Sportsmanship Team for a third straight season.
  • Huntingdon falls in USA South Tournament quarterfinals

    LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Huntingdon volleyball team advanced to the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinals before losing to Covenant on Tuesday night. The Hawks advanced to the quarterfinals with a four-set victory over LaGrange, winning 18-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-17. Against Covenant, the No. 1 seed in the West Division, the Hawks fell 25-17, 25-17, 25-21.
  • Huntingdon closes out regular season against Maryville and Piedmont

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon volleyball team lost to Maryville and Piedmont in a conference tri-match to close out the regular season on Saturday. The Hawks fell to Maryville 25-19, 25-19, 25-19 and lost to Piedmont 25-19, 29-27, 24-26, 25-22.

    LAGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon volleyball team fell to LaGrange College in four sets on Tuesday night. The Hawks won the first game but dropped the final three games in a 25-22, 18-25, 14-25, 16-25 loss.

    DECATUR, Ga.-The Huntingdon volleyball team split in a conference tri-match against Agnes Scott and Covenant on Saturday. The Hawks defeated the Scotties 25-22, 25-22, 27-29, 24-26, 16-14 and fell to Covenant 25-23, 25-13, 25-22.

Trey Hayes was named the Defensive Player of the Week for football, Amy Tyma was named the Rookie of the Week for volleyball and Kebba Jeng was named the Rookie of the Week for men’s soccer.
