Hawks Take Down Three Conference Opponents At The Hawk Duals
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Welcoming 9 teams to the Garrett Coliseum for the annual Hawk Duals to kick off the 2026 year, Huntingdon Men's Wrestling closed the day with a 3-2 record in their five matches wrestled. All three of the Hawks wins came against SLIAC conference opponents(Lyon, McMurry, and Schreiner).
Huntingdon started the day with an emphatic 45-0 victory over Lyon that made way for a 48-6 defeat of McMurry in their second match. The Hawks faltered a little in their next two matches, falling 33-18 to Truett-McConnell and 25-21 to Montreat, but recovered nicely for a 29-23 win over Schreiner. Junior Damion Jones highlighted Huntingdon's performances today, finishing the day with a perfect 5-0 record, claiming two wins via fall.
