Jordan Alvis Joins Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse Staff As Full-Time Assistant Coach
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- After serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2025 season, Huntingdon Athletics has announced that Jordan Alvis will be joining the women's lacrosse staff as a full-time assistant.
A 2024 Huntingdon graduate and dual-sport athlete competing in both lacrosse and cross country, Alvis appeared in 28 games throughout her career on the field, starting in 26 of those as a midfielder for the Hawks. Her leadership and offensive production were evident throughout her entire playing career, as she compiled a total of 22 goals, 10 assists, 53 ground-balls, 66 draw controls, and 28 caused turnovers. As a member of the Huntingdon Cross Country program, she competed in six competitions, holding a personal record of 36:12 in the 6000m race.
In her lone season as a volunteer assistant coach for the program, the Hawks finished with a 3-10 record, falling in the quarterfinals of the USA South Conference tournament, guiding midfielder Kate Hudson to an all-conference season that broke school records in both goals and points in a single game.
"It is an incredible honor to return to Huntingdon College- my alma mater- as the full-time Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach", shared Alvis. Huntingdon played a pivotal role in my development as both a student-athlete and a person, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the program. I look forward to working with our student-athletes and helping them reach their full potential, both on and off the field."
