MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Playing at home for their first action of the 2025 season, Huntingdon women's lacrosse welcomed the 2-1 Oglethorpe University Stormy Petrels to Samford Stadium.
The Stormy Petrels controlled the pace of the game from the onset, forcing 6 Huntingdon turnovers while preventing the Hawks from an attempt at the goal to take an 8-0 lead into the second quarter. The Hawks were able to limit Oglethorpe's offense more efficently as the second quarter got underway, allowing Reagan Barrett to get the Hawks first shot attempt off at the 5:41 mark, but Huntingdon still trailed 10-0 at the halftime break. The Hawks fired off two more shots in the second half, but couldn't convert, resulting in an 19-0 victory for Oglethorpe.
The Hawks look to bounce back on February 22nd, traveling to face Warren Wilson. Gametime is scheduled for 11:00 AM CT.
