Hawks Drop Conference Opener Against Methodist

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse fell to Methodist, 15-7, in the conference opener.

Reagan Bullock got the Hawks on the board with 26 seconds left in the first quarter to make it 3-1. In the second quarter, Dylanie Chappel scored at 13:25 to make it 3-2. Reagan Bullock tied the game at 3 at 13:02 of the second quarter. 

Methodist scored 4 straight goals to take a 7-3 lead. Shelby Blair scored at 3:40 of the second quarter to make it 7-4 through halftime. Methodist scored 5 straight goals in the third quarter to take a 12-4 lead. 

Methodist added their 13th goal just 11 seconds into the fourth quarter. Dylanie Chappel scored her second goal of the game at 14:25 to make it 13-5. Peyton Beachler made it 14-6 at 11:48 followed by Reagan Bullock's 3rd goal of the game at 8:19. Methodist scored with 2:00 minutes left in the game to make it 15-7.

Morgan Coppini made her 300th career save despite suffering her 4th loss of the season. Coppini made 13 saves on 28 shots. Reagan Bullock had 3 goals on 8 shots with 7 ground balls. Dylanie Chappel had 2 goals and 1 assist with 5 shots.

The Hawks travel to Pfeiffer for a conference match  on Saturday, March 12th. Game time is set for 3:00 PM CST.
