Hawks Softball Texas-Bound For 2026 Regional Tournament

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Being selected as an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season, Huntingdon Softball has been tapped as the #2 seed in the Seguin, Texas Regional, hosted by Texas Lutheran University. 

The regional round will be held May 14-16. Sixteen sites will host four teams at each regional site. The team advancing from each regional will compete in the super regional round May 21 and 22 hosted by eight institutions. The finals, hosted by the City of Salem and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, will be held May 28-June 3 at Moyer Sports Complex in Salem, Virginia. All rounds will use a double-elimination format.

Last season, the Hawks fell in the Montgomery, Alabama, regional championship to the Emory University Eagles. This season, Huntingdon enters regionals boasting a 31-10 record and a runner-up finish in the Collegiate Conference of the South Tournament. CCS Pitcher of the Year Allie Roberts will look to lead the way alongside all-conference selections Maddie Grace Hubbard, Kylie Stephens, and Addison Gaines

The Seguin, Texas Regional Tournament seeding is as follows:

Forty-two conferences received an automatic qualification into the championship. The 22 remaining teams were selected on an at-large basis using the NCAA Power Index (NPI). The conferences and teams that received automatic qualification are:
