Hawks Down Maryville To Advance To The CCS Tournament Championship
OXFORD, Ala.- In one of their more complete games at the plate of the 2026 season, the #2 seeded Huntingdon Hawks defeated the #4 Scots of Maryville College 11-0, advancing to the Collegiate Conference of the South Tournament Championship round.
After four scoreless frames, Huntingdon broke through with a five-run fifth inning. Maddie Grace Hubbard started the rally with an RBI walk before the Hawks added runs on a wild pitch, a sacrifice fly from Kate Dinkel, and a two-run triple off the bat of Riley Rudick to make it 5-0.
The Hawks kept the pressure on in the sixth and seventh innings, adding six more runs to end the game early. Hubbard finished with a huge day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and four RBI. Rudick added two hits and two RBI, while Kamryn Miller went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Kinley Hutto also crossed the plate three times as Huntingdon piled up 15 hits in the win.
In the circle, Allie Roberts pitched a complete game, surrendering just one hit while striking out 7 Scots in the shutout win.
