Gaines Dubbed CCS Pitcher Of The Week

ATLANTA, Ga.- Playing a crucial role in #9 Huntingdon's 3-1 stretch on Friday and Saturday, sophomore Addison Gaines has been recognized as the Collegiate Conference of the South Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. 

The Peachtree City, Georgia native turned in a dominant performance in the circle, going 2–0 to help the Hawks secure victories over Maryville and MUW. The sophomore logged 11.0 innings, allowing just one earned run on six hits while striking out 19 batters. Gaines finished the week with a 0.64 ERA and held opponents to a .154 batting average, including a complete-game shutout against MUW.

Gaines and the Hawks hit the road for the first time in CCS play this weekend as they travel to Piedmont for a double-header on March 27th. Games are set for 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM CT.
