Roberts And Treadway Headline Weekly CCS Softball Awards

ATLANTA, Ga.- The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.

Huntingdon's Miranda Treadway and Allie Roberts were each recognized, being named the player and pitcher of the week for the conference, respectively.

Treadway powered Huntingdon to an undefeated weekend, launching a pair of two-run home runs as the Hawks improved to 8-0 on the season. The senior catcher totaled six RBI, including a walk-off double in Sunday's win over Rhodes. She also crossed home plate five times and maintained a perfect fielding percentage behind the plate.

Roberts continued her dominant start to the season, improving to 5-0 after pitching 15 innings across multiple outings. She struck out 11 batters while allowing just six hits and one run, helping anchor Huntingdon's pitching in a perfect weekend that included sweeps over Mount St. Joseph and Rhodes.

Treadway, Roberts, and the Hawks take on the NCFA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Georgia beginning on February 28th. They open the first day with game against Denison at 9:00 AM before facing Stevens at 11:30 AM CT.
