Hawks Fall At Maryville In Regular Season Finale

MARYVILLE, Tenn.- Closing out their regular season on the road, Huntingdon Men's Soccer couldn't find their rhythm offensively, falling 3-0 to the Scots of Maryville College.

How it happened

Maryville wasted no time jumping in front, cashing in at the 10:55 mark to establish a 1-0 lead. Josh Diaz tried to respond with a solid attempt on the other end of the field just 10 minutes later, but couldn't convert. The Hawks remained solid on defense through the remainder of the half however, keeping the Scots to one goal for the half entering the halftime break. Coming out of the halftime break, Maryville caught fire offensively, scoring on two shots inside the first 15 minutes of the half to push the advantage to 3-0, and the Hawks couldn't recover- falling 3-0 on the road.

In the goal

#34 Trent Wineberg drew the start for Huntingdon, recording 4 saves while allowing 1 goal in 45 minutes of play. Lundon Danford played between the pipes for the Hawks in the second half, surrendering 2 goals while picking up 1 save to close things out.
