How it happened

With major Collegiate Conference of the South playoff implications drawing from tonight's match, both sides came out of the gates with a postseason-like atmosphere. That being said, the Panthers drew blood first, tapping one past Trent Wineberg just 7 and a half minutes in to stake the early advantage. Not to be outdone however, the Hawks answered at the 31 minute mark, as Dashun McDonald cashed in on a penalty kick to even things up at 1 heading into the halftime break.

As the second half got underway, intensity ramped up on both sides as the two squads traded blows coming down the stretch. The Hawks defense remained solid all half, but finally broke with a little less than four minutes to go, surrendering a goal that put LaGrange ahead 2-1. Huntingdon couldn't recover offensively, dropping the conference contest at home.

#34 Trent Wineberg played all 90 minutes in the goal tonight, recording 6 saves while allowing the two goals.
