Early Goal Pushes Pensacola Christian Past The Hawks

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Hosting the Eagles for a brief non-conference stint- Huntingdon Men's Soccer returned to action at home against Pensacola Christian, falling 1-0.

How it happened

The Eagles found success early on offensively, cashing in on their second shot of the game at the 5:59 mark to take the 1-0 advantage that ultimately turned into a 1-0 victory. The Hawks fired off multiple good looks, as Timaj Lester, Dashun McDonald, Josh Diaz, and Brandon Cruz each had solid shots on goal, all of which were saved by Pensacola Christian's keeper. Through the majority of the first half and all of the second half, Huntingdon's defense remained solid, keeping the Eagles 14 other attempts out of the goal, but the offense couldn't break through, resulting in the 1-0 loss.

In the goal

#34 Trent Wineberg played all 90 minutes in the goal for the Hawks, allowing one goal while securing 10 saves.

The Hawks look to bounce back on Saturday, October 11th at home against Covenant College. Gametime is set for 2:00 PM CT.
