MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Returning to the Samford Soccer Complex for their first CCS match of the 2025 season, Huntingdon Men's Soccer welcomed the Asbury University Eagles.
The two teams traded blows throughout the entirety of the contest, but when the dust settled, things ended with a 0-0 draw.
How it happened
Contrary to what the score might indicate, both squads saw an active match offensively. The Hawks fired off more shots in the first half, but ultimately were slightly outshot by the Eagles 16-13 for the match. Of Asbury's 16 shot attempts, only four found their way to the goal, all of which freshman keeper Trent Wineberg saved. On the other side of the field, Huntingdon saw six shots on goal, with tate Reynolds and Exavier Ali drawing particularly solid attempts, but Asbury also managed to save all six.
With today's draw, the Hawks move to 1-5-3 on the season. Huntingdon returns to action on Wednesday, October 1st as they travel to Belhaven University. Gametime is set for 6:30 PM CT.
