Pensacola Christian Takes Down The Hawks

MONTGOMERY,Ala.- In a home showdown with the Eagles of Pensacola Christian College(5-3 overall) defeated Huntingdon men's soccer(2-4 overall) 1-0 in a defensive battle.

How it happened

Throughout the duration of this dynamic matchup, each of the team's goalkeepers put on a display while protecting their goal. Junior Lundon Danford anchored Huntingdon's defense, saving 9 of the Eagles shots on goal, while Pensacola Christian's keeper managed to save all three of Huntingdon's attempts. The lone goal of the game came at the 10 minute mark in the first half, with the Eagles finding the back of the net following an unsuccessful shot attempt from the Hawks.

Huntingdon continued to battle after going down early, getting multiple shot attempts off, but found no luck, taking the 1-0 loss.

Huntingdon returns to play on Tuesday, September 24th, facing Toccoa Falls at home. Gametime is scheduled for 6:00 PM CT.
