Tyler Mallory Deemed Alabama Power Huntingdon Student Athlete Of The Week
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- After serving as the Hawks leading scorer in their matchups with MUW and Millsaps this past week, Tyler Mallory has been recognized as the Alabama Power Huntingdon Student Athlete of the Week.
Despite Huntingdon's 0-2 record on the week with losses at MUW and at home to Millsaps, Tyler was exceptional, as he averaged 31 points, 3 steals, 2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 4.5 made three pointers between the contests. In the Hawks first matchup of the week against MUW, Mallory scored 20 points to go along with 5 steals, 2 assists, 2 rebounds, and 1 block. He followed up later in the week with an NCAA-Era program record 42 points against Millsaps, hitting 7 triples along the way, with 2 rebounds and a steal. As it currently stands, Tyler is sixth in NCAA Division III with an average of 28 points per game. He also ranks 7th in three pointers per game and 18th in total three pointers made on the season.
