Jable Ramey Earns CCS Rookie of the Week

MONTGOMERY,Ala.- Huntingdon baseball Freshman pitcher Jable Ramey has been named the CCS Rookie of the Week for his performances against Millsaps and Virginia Wesleyan.

Ramey went 1-0 on the mound with a 1.13 ERA in two appearances for the Hawks to open the season. Ramey pitched three innings and did not give up a single base hit to lead the Hawks to a 3-1 victory over Millsaps on opening day. He started on the mound on Day 2 of the Firehouse Classic and faced 22 batters. The freshman pitcher threw 83 pitches, 42 of which were strikes leading the Hawks to a 10-1 victory over Virginia Wesleyan.

Ramey and the Hawks are back in action at home on February 23rd against Vermont State. Gametime is scheduled for 12:00 PM CT.
