BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team finished its opening weekend at the Blazer Beach Duals with matches against Division I Jacksonville State and UAB.
The Hawks lost to Jacksonville State 3-2 and to UAB 5-0.
In the match against Jacksonville State, the No. 5 team of April Reese and Alexis Creasman won 21-14 and 23-21. The No. 3 team of Lexie DeVuyst and Amy Tyma won in three sets, 21-13, 18-21, 15-13. DeVuyst and Tyma also went to three sets again UAB, losing 17-21, 21-15, 15-13.

Coming Up: The Hawks return to action in New Orleans on March 1-2 in the New Orleans Invitational. Huntingdon will face Southern Miss and Spring Hill College on March 1 and the University of New Orleans and Nicholls State on March 2.
