FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Huntingdon volleyball team is ranked second in the West Division with the release of the USA South Athletic Conference preseason poll on Thursday.
The preseason ranking is the highest for the Hawks since beginning play in the USA South in 2013.
Huntingdon earned two first-place votes and 42 points in the West Division poll. Defending West Division champion Covenant is first with five first-place votes and 46 points and Maryville is third with one first-place vote and 38 points.
Behind Maryville, Piedmont is fourth with 30 points, LaGrange is fifth with 28 points, Brevard is sixth with 16 points, Berea is seventh with 13 points and Agnes Scott is eighth with 11 points.
Defending USA South Tournament champion Meredith leads the East Division poll with seven first-place votes and 63 points. William Peace, who was East Division co-champion with Meredith in 2018, is second with two first-place votes and 53 points.
