FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Huntingdon's Alex Calhoun was chosen as one of the USA South Athletic Conference's Athletes of the Week on Monday.
The junior scored the first three goals of her collegiate career to earn Player of the Week honors for women's soccer.
In a 3-2 win over Berea on Saturday, Calhoun scored all of Huntingdon's goals. She scored on an assist from Alexis Louk in the opening minute of the game. Trailing 2-1 in the second half, Calhoun scored an unassisted goal in the 62nd minute and scored the go-ahead goal on an assist from Allison Fisher with 10:05 to play in the game.
Despite missing five games in September, Calhoun is second on the team with eight points this season. She is tied for second on the team with three goals and two assists.
