Weather forces changes to weekend baseball and softball schedules

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The weekend weather forecast has changed the Huntingdon baseball and softball schedules for the next few days.

Baseball is set to host the three-day Firehouse Classic at Posey Field beginning on Friday. Due to the forecast of rain and thunderstorms, Friday's schedule has changed from two games to three games. Saturday and Sunday's schedules are to be determined.

Methodist and Rhodes will play in the first game on Friday at 10 a.m., followed by Methodist and Birmingham-Southern at 1:30 p.m. Huntingdon and Rhodes will play the final game at 5 p.m.

Softball was set to debut its new facility in its season opener with Millsaps on Saturday. The Lady Hawks will now open the season with a doubleheader on the road at Berry College on Friday at 1 p.m. (Central).

The Berry doubleheader was originally scheduled for Sunday.

Saturday's Millsaps doubleheader has been postponed to a later date.

Saturday – Postponed to a later date
