JACKSON, Miss. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team beat Belhaven 8-1 in its season opener on Friday.

The Lady Hawks were 5-1 in singles with Zoya Robinson (No. 2), Josie Waddell (No. 3), Heather Tabor (No. 4), Clayton Waring (No. 5), and Lucy Burch (No. 6) each winning in straight sets.

The teams of Waddell-Robinson (No. 1), Howard-Tabor (No. 2) and Waring-Burch (No. 3) won all three doubles matches for Huntingdon..

Coming Up: Huntingdon returns to action in Jackson, Miss., on Saturday against Louisiana College and Millsaps.
