MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Senior Juliette Harp recorded her second double-double in as many games and helped lead the Huntingdon women's basketball team to a 62-56 win over Rust College on Friday night.
Harp, who had a double-double in the first half, finished the game with 21 points and 22 rebounds. Harp also had four blocked shots.
The 22 rebounds broke the Lady Hawks' NCAA-era record of 20 in a game, set by Pat Pickens in 2014. The performance pushed Harp's career total to 694 rebounds in 68 games and moved her into fourth on the Lady Hawks' career list during the NCAA era.
On Friday, Huntingdon controlled the tempo of the game in the first half. Behind 10 points from Harp and 10 points from Alex Lowery, the Lady Hawks led by as many as 12 points in the second quarter and carried a 33-24 lead into the half.
But Rust rallied in the second half. The Bearcats took a 47-46 lead late in the third quarter and only trailed by four points, 57-53, with less than two minutes to play in the game.
A pair of field goals by T.I. Duncan and Harp and a free throw by Duncan helped Huntingdon close out the game.
Lowery finished with 12 points and four rebounds and Mia Hudson followed with 10 points. Duncan added eight points, six assists and four rebounds.

Quick Fact: Harp's 22 rebounds accounted for more than half of the Lady Hawks' total in the game. As a team, Huntingdon finished with 43 rebounds.
