NORMAN, Okla. – The Huntingdon men's golf team will open the spring season ranked second in the Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.
The Hawks began the fall season ranked third and were ranked second in the final poll of the fall season with 361 points. The Hawks have 413 points in the first poll of the spring season.
Emory remains the No. 1 team in the poll with 18 first-place votes and 450 points. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps is third with 410 points.
Behind Huntingdon, four other USA South teams are ranked in the poll. Methodist, the defending national champion, is eighth with 312 points, North Carolina Wesleyan is 13th with 245 points, Greensboro is 15th with 176 points and LaGrange is 17th with 168 points.
Huntingdon opens the spring season in the Callaway Gardens Invitational on March 4-5.
