Huntingdon comes up short at Covenant

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team rallied from a 14-point deficit in the second half but came up short in an 84-78 loss at Covenant on Saturday.

Trailing 46-32 early in the second half, the Hawks continued to battle and pulled within three points three times in the final four minutes of the game. But each time, the Scots were able to answer and maintain the lead.

Huntingdon pulled within two points, 80-78, when Kyante Pines hit 1-of-2 free throws with 47 seconds left. But Covenant sank 4-of-4 free throws in the final 27 seconds to hold off the Hawks.

Pines and Isaiah King each scored 14 points to lead Huntingdon. King also had four steals and four rebounds. James Harris added 12 points and four assists. Aaron Washington had nine points, B.J. Barker had eight points, three steals and three assists and Trey Livingston had eight points.
