    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team rallied in the final minutes of the second half to force overtime at AUM on Monday night. The Hawks led or were tied for the first 4:57 of overtime before AUM's Quay Davis scored with three seconds to play to hand the Hawks an 80-78 loss.

    SALEM, Va. – Jeremiah Thomas turned in a career-high scoring performance to help the Huntingdon men's basketball team down William Peace 82-68 on Wednesday. Thomas finished with 28 points and nine rebounds to earn All-Tournament honors in the Morris Cregger Invitational at Roanoke College. Thomas was 8-for-11 from the field and 12-for-16 from the free-throw line.

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team started strong on Saturday but came up short in the final minutes. The Hawks led for the first 35 minutes of the game before LaGrange took control for an 81-72 win. LaGrange outscored the Hawks 15-5 in the final four minutes.

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team overcame a slow start on Sunday to edge Millsaps 78-72 in overtime. Courtnee Edgar hit two 3-pointers in overtime and Jeremiah Thomas and Jason Varney each sank two free throws in the final eight seconds to seal the first win of the season for the Hawks (1-3). Edgar's second 3-pointer gave the Hawks a 74-72 lead with 1:24 to play in overtime. Thomas' free throws made it 76-72 before Varney stepped to the free-throw line with one second left to finish the game.

Facing Emory University, a team that was ranked as high as 13th in the nation last season, Huntingdon came up short in the BSC Classic at Birmingham-Southern. Emory took a 24-point lead in the first half and knocked off the Hawks 98-70.

  • Huntingdon men’s basketball tunes up in exhibition against ASU

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team faced a tough preseason challenge Wednesday night against Division I Alabama State University. ASU won the exhibition game 90-73, but the Hawks remained within five points of the Hornets until the final seconds of the first half and never trailed by more than 15 until the final minutes of the game. ASU led 40-33 at the half and opened up an 82-70 game in the final three minutes of the second half.
