Baseball’s conference series with Averett moved to Posey Field

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon baseball team will be at home this weekend to open conference play.

The Hawks were scheduled to play at USA South Athletic Conference rival Averett University on Friday-Sunday. Due to the weather forecast for Virginia, the series has been moved to Posey Field.

Weather permitting, the two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at 2 p.m. The final game of the series is set for noon on Sunday.

If the weather forces additional changes to the schedule, updates will be posted on www.HuntingdonHawks.com and the Huntingdon athletic Facebook and Twitter pages.

Huntingdon's other home events are still scheduled as planned. Women's lacrosse will host Montreat at 1 p.m. on Saturday and softball will host the University of Dallas and Mount St. Joseph on Saturday and Sunday. Softball times are scheduled for 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. both days.
